I was recommended during my meeting to create somewhat of an overview of how my documentary is going to turn out if it were produced to its full extent.
The excerpt that I will be creating is filming protest and interviews with protestors, but what will occur before or even after that excerpt?
The opening of the film will most likely be news footage of school shootings that have happened in the United States for many years prior, in order to get an overview of how the debate has quickly surfaced and caused such controversy and chaos. Including footage of what happened inside Parkland and even interviews with student activist would also be included. After my excerpt, there will most definitely be an interview of a gun range and having the opinion of an individual who sells guns to others. But other interviews such as those of legislative officials on both political parties would be interviewed and to get an interview with someone from the NRA would be pretty awesome. Interviews with the parents of the victims will help to develop the story with footage of the victim and their past life.
In order to develop the story, interviews, footage, music, and editing will help to further and create a full documentary.
